Dan Scholl

Head of Municipal Fixed Income

Dan is responsible for the delivery of solutions within the municipal sector to clients, including portfolio management, trading, and credit research. He has more than 30 years of experience serving in leadership positions in fixed income and municipal markets. He served as co-head of the U.S. municipal fixed income business for Schroder Investment Management–a $600 Billion global asset manager–and served on the firm’s global fixed income investment and management committees.

Additionally, Dan served as senior vice president and portfolio manager for U.S. municipals and as senior vice president for intermediary distribution, responsible for the firm’s business development efforts in the eastern U.S. Prior to his tenure at Schroder Investment, Dan was a director and portfolio manager in municipals at Morgan Grenfell Asset Management and at Deutsche Asset Management.

Dan has also served in various leadership positions for the State of Delaware including deputy state treasurer, senior policy advisor to Governor Thomas R. Carper, and as senior advisor to three secretaries of finance. Dan received his MGA from the Fels Center of Government at the University of Pennsylvania and his bachelor’s degree from Ursinus College. He holds the Series 6, 7 and 63 licenses.

Active in the community, Dan currently serves as treasurer of the Delaware Historical Society and as a board member of the St. Francis Hospital Foundation and the Delaware Zoological Society. He is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia and the Bond Club of Philadelphia. He has served as director of the Diamond State Port Corporation and the Delaware 529 Investment Plan.

Dan has been a frequent speaker at multiple organizations, including the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, the Financial Planning Association, and the Family Wealth Alliance. He has been published in Public Budgeting and Financial Management and Financial Planning, and has been quoted in the New York Times and Philadelphia Inquirer.
