Jonathan Fitzgerald

Administrative Vice President and National Director, Emerald Advisory Services

As part of the Wilmington Trust Emerald Family Office & Advisory team, Jonathan is responsible for the development and delivery of strategic advice offerings. He provides personal wealth planning to high-net-worth individuals and their families through the design and implementation of their estate, business succession, and family legacy plans. In addition, Jonathan oversees the National Estate Settlement practice for Wilmington Trust and M&T Bank, which provides executor and trustee services to families throughout the post-death administration process.

Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Jonathan was in the private practice of law at a top ranked Florida law firm, advising high-net-worth individuals in their estate and federal taxation planning. Earlier in his career, Jonathan worked for four years at the international public accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the firm’s New York City banking and capital markets practice.

Jonathan holds a JD from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and political science from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Florida Bar Tax Law and Real Property and Probate Law sections.
